Stalls
The Stalls at the Criterion Theatre is a large block of seating that is not divided by any aisles.
This section of the venue is not raked; therefore your view might be obstructed by those in front of you. The best seats are seats 6-15 in row E as they have the best view of the stage in the whole theatre.
The Dress Circle overhang begins at row H, at the sides and at row K in the centre. The Circle overhang noticeably affects the view of the top of the stage from row M back.
Generally it is advised to sit as centrally as possible in the front section of the Stalls in order to enjoy good views of the stage. As this part of the venue offers plenty of restricted seats it’s best to spend a little more and enjoy your experience fully.
The seats are quite comfortable and there is plenty of legroom provided. Taller audience members are advised to purchase tickets for row M as it offers extra legroom.
Due to the fact that there are a few support pillars at the rear of Stalls at the Criterion theatre, audience members are advised to avoid these seats as they suffer from obstructed views due to the positioning of the pillars. Seats at the end of rows A-D are also severely restricted and should be avoided at all costs.
Unfortunately this section of the Criterion Theatre is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for those audience members with reduced mobility issues.
