Nick Mohammed is on stage in the West End for the festive season playing his endearingly annoying alter-ego Mr Swallow, alongside a sparkling comedy cast. This all-singing, all-dancing comedy retelling of Dickens’ festive classic is an absolute hoot.

A Christmas Carol (ish) brings a fresh twist to Dickens’ classic novel. Mr Swallow wants to stage the story but Charles Dickens’ Estate says ‘no’. With no time left to mess around, Mr Swallow has to think fast and dream up an alternative plot. And what a plot it is.

Santa cancels Christmas on Christmas Eve. Three ghosts must convince him to see the error of his ways and rediscover the magic of Christmas. There’s the voice of god. A woman falls in love with a person-sized turkey. The reindeer is called Rudolph Hess. No wonder the development run at Soho Theatre in 2022 sold out. Expect hilarious and you won’t be disappointed!

Chaotic comedy silliness, perfect festive family fun

Written by and starring double Emmy-nominated actor Nick Mohammed, the show also stars Martha Howe-Douglas (Ghosts, Horrible Histories), Kieran Hodgson (Two Doors Down) and David Elms (Borderline).

The director is Matt Peover. The writer of the book and lyrics is Nick Mohammed, with music from Oliver Birch and set and costume design from Fly Davis. Richard Howell is Lighting Designer, Emily Holt is the Choreographer, Freddie Tapner is Music Supervisor, Honor Halford-MacLeod is the Musical Director and the producer is Owen Donovan. Simon Nathan is the Orchestrator, Kate Margretts the Props Supervisor, and Lisa Aitkin the Costume Supervisor.
