Just For One Day description
In 1983 a deadly famine hit Ethiopia. In the wealthy Western world, politicians stood by and watched. Two pop stars decided enough was enough, and Live Aid was born. This epic show celebrates the events and the people they brought together.
70 chart legends and two internationally-screened concerts later, $127 million had been raised to help the victims of the famine. The charity, the Band Aid Trust, is still going strong and 10% of the ticket sales for this show will be donated to it.
This is your chance to experience what happened when Live Aid hit Wembley and Philadelphia, changing the face of fundraising forever thanks to Bob Geldof from the Boomtown rats and Midge Ure from Ultravox. The concerts attracted a huge TV audience of 1.5 billion people, and everyone who saw them, either live or on telly, never forgot the experience.
The stars from ’85 when Live Aid rocked the planet
