Mousetrap description
Can you keep a secret? If so you'll join upwards of ten million other theatre lovers who have kept the identity of the mysterious killer to themselves... and that's amazing. The Mousetrap has been on stage in London non-stop since 1952 and it's still going strong. Not to be missed.
This gorgeous vintage whodunit comes from the pen of the infamous Agatha Christie. The voice recording of the show's radio announcer, Deryck Guyler, is the same one they used for the premiere in Nottingham more than 70 years ago, before it hit the West End. You’ll love this little chunk of ancient audio history and the plot also remains as compelling as ever despite its age. This mystery is still edge-of-the-seat gripping.
The longest-running play in the West End and in the world, this is an enduringly popular traditional murder mystery and a legend in the West End. Expect a clever balance between poignant moments and comedy, all taking place against a brilliantly convincing backdrop.
The plot of The Mousetrap
It’s winter. It's snowing hard. A group of dodgy strangers turns up at a country hotel and before long they're snowed in, unable to leave. When a policeman arrives and warns everyone there's a dangerous murderer on the loose, now in their midst, things start to get scary. One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts and are investigated. Ultimately they lay a clever trap to reveal the killer.
