The Last Laugh description
Three beloved comedy legends meet backstage to chat about the mysteries of life, death, and what it means to be funny. This is The Last Laugh, a new play about Tommy Cooper, Eric Morecambe and Bob Monkhouse that sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe, in London for 2025.
Perfect when you love laugh-out-loud, laugh a minute comedy, the fun is written by award-winning writer and presenter Paul Hendy, who also directs the production. Billed as warm, funny, nostalgic and poignant, the three men deliver a constant stream of gags, wordplay, wonderful silliness and touching stories to keep you entertained. Expect a fabulous feel-good show.
About Cooper, Morecambe and Monkhouse
Tommy Cooper, Eric Morecambe and Bob Monkhouse kept the nation laughing for half a century, lighting up our lives with their comedy. Morecambe and his partner Ernie Wise were legends in their own lifetime. Cooper's off-the-wall take on life had people in fits of laughter on TV and stage, and Monkhouse's varied TV work was spiced with a razor sharp sense of fun. Together they make West End magic.
