Upper Circle
The highest section of the Criterion Theatre, the Upper Circle consists of only three rows and a wide central aisle. Due to the intimate ambience of the venue this part of the Criterion Theatre does not feel too high up or too distant from the action taking place on stage.
The best seats can be found in row A however you have to bear in mind that legroom is awfully restricted in those seats. Avoid seat B30, although it can be purchased at only £10, it is doubtful you will enjoy your time as the view is severely obstructed.
This part of the venue does not offer much comfort and due to the fact that the seats are very narrow and legroom is very restricted, taller audience members should avoid this section of the theatre altogether.
Choosing to sit in the Upper Circle should only be considered if you are on a strict budget. If you are after comfort and want to fully enjoy the production and your experience, you should endeavour to purchase tickets in either the Stalls or the Dress Circle. It is advised to always sit as centrally as possible as end on seats are severely restricted, although leaning forwards can help you see what is happening on stage more clearly.
Unfortunately this section of the theatre is not wheelchair accessible and should be avoided by those with reduced mobility issues.
