Royal Circle
Although positioned a level above the Stalls, the Royal Circle does not feel too high or very distant from the stage. Due to the curved shape of this section the best seats can be found in the centre of the rows.
The steep rake permits for those at the very back of the section to enjoy great views, unobstructed by audience members in front of them. The best seats in this section are seats 5-14 in row A and seats 7-16 in row B as they offer clear and panoramic views of the stage and these seats offer better views than those at the back of The Stalls.
The Upper Circle overhang begins at row C and only slightly affects the view for those in row D and back.
Unfortunately legroom is very restricted in this section of the Duke of York’s Theatre and taller audience members are advised to always purchase aisle seat tickets to fully enjoy their experience at the venue.
The theatre offers day seats at £25 in this section of the venue and these can be purchased directly from the venue on the day of the performance.
Those seating in the first row of the Royal Circle might find that their view will be affected by the lighting, which hangs just in front of the section, but this should not be a problem for taller audience members.
The Royal Circle of the Duke of York’s Theatre is wheelchair accessible, offering two wheelchair spaces at the end of row C. Patrons with reduced mobility issues should also purchase tickets in this part of the venue.
