Dress Circle

Located a level above the Stalls, the Dress Circle offers clear views of the stage of the Playhouse Theatre.

This section of the venue consists of three seating blocks divided by two aisles. The Dress Circle is well raked ensuring that those at the back of the section can enjoy good views unobstructed by those in front of them.

Due to the curved shape of the Dress Circle the best seats are in the centre, as they offer head on views of the stage. Whilst seats at the end of the section do not face the stage head on, this does not hinder the experience too much.

The Upper Circle overhang begins at row C, cutting off the view of the top of the stage from row G back.

The Dress Circle offers comfortable seats but legroom does feel very restricted, especially in row A, which should be avoided by taller audience members who are also advised to always purchase an aisle seat to ensure plenty of comfort.

The safety rail which runs across the front of the section can obstruct the view for those in row A, but it is not a significant nuisance. Shorter audience members might not enjoy their views from row A too much so they are advised to sit further back.

The rear of this section still offers plenty of great views. The Dress Circle section of the Playhouse Theatre is not wheelchair accessible and is not suited to those with reduced mobility.
